Clear Plastic Wine Glasses 5.5oz – Review

Me and my husband have purchased these clear plastic wine glasses that are marketed as party essentials right on the box. We felt it suited our needs because when we drink wine with friends, it’s usually in a party-like setting instead of a romantic, private one. The glasses look like tiny little goblets and we feel it kind of gives them a charisma that shows the glasses don’t take themselves to seriously. At the same time, they look pretty decent. They give our weekend parties that extra touch that makes the party and the atmosphere complete.

These plastic wine glasses required some assembly but it is so easy that even our 8 year old son could’ve done it. The bottoms cracked a little when I put them together, but once they are in place they’re in place very sturdy. It would be nice to have a few extra bases included so you could compile glasses with varying shapes experimentally. But these glasses are extremely cheap and for this very low price, you get high quality stuff! You can use these glasses for both red and white wine. No matter what you pour into them, they always look good.

And ofcourse, these clear plastic wine glasses are shatterproof. We’ve only had them for about a week or two now, but the first glass has already been dropped. Like you would expect, it didn’t break, shatter or leave any mess whatsoever. Except maybe for the spilled contents, but I can live with that. Thanks to these synthetic glasses, I no longer have to clean up any mess when a glass takes a fall. I couldn’t be happier. I’m thinking of keeping the real glasses locked up safe and sound at times when I’m having friends over for a party. From hereon out it’s plastic only!

Polycarbonate White Wine Glasses Set Of 6 – Review

I’m a real klutz and I have a history of dropping and breaking fragile things. For this reason, I never collected things made of glass in the first place. The only reason why I ever have glass around the house is because glasses just so happened to be made… of glass! But now that I’ve purchased these polycarbonate white whine glasses set of 6, I won’t have the problem of dropping and breaking wine glasses anymore.

I decided to go with a set of six even though I am living alone currently. I just didn’t believe these plastic wine glasses were shatterproof so I bought six of them because it was cheaper than just buying 1. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by these synthetic glasses. I would never have suspected that they were going to be this high quality. You can’t even see that they are not real unless you hold them in your hand and you inspect them up close! They are marketed as white wine glasses, but I see no reason not to use them for red wine as well.

These plastic wine glasses have nice, big, beautiful stems. For the low, low price that I paid for these, I couldn’t have gotten better quality. I have had them in use for three weeks now and I have already dropped a glass twice. On one of those two occasions, the glass was still half full. I was sorry to see a half glass of wine go to waste, but I was happy to see the glass didn’t shatter, thereby ruining my two hours of well deserved weekend rest on the couch! I highly recommend these glasses to everybody and I have purchased the red wine glasses as well!

Polycarbonate White Wine Glasses Set Of 4 – Review

We were afraid that glasses made of plastic would not have the genuine feel of glasses made of glass. But since synthetic glasses are so cheap nowadays, we decided to give it a shot anyway. We have purchased the polycarbonate white wine glasses set of 4. We would’ve bought 2 because that is all we need, but we couldn’t find a set smaller than this. We’ve been drinking red wine for the past few weeks and we got sick of it. We decided to drink white wine again and therefore we purchased these. They are meant for white whine.

When unwrapping these plastic wine glasses for the first time, it felt like I was unwrapping real glass. It wasn’t until me and my wife inspected them further that we could tell it was synthetic. These glasses are really well made. They look just like regular wine glasses. They have a long stem and they are very thin. They look so clear that you could never tell they are not real if you were looking at them from a distance.

You do not have to worry about breaking these glasses. Since we had 2 more than we actually needed, we tried breaking the other two. We simply dropped them to the ground and they remained undamaged. They are light, durable, cheap and stylish. What more could you want. We’re thinking about getting rid of our real glasses and simply sticking with this one. We plan on having more kids in the future and we figure that… the fewer glasses we have around the house, the better it will be for both us and the kid!

Shatterproof Stemless Govino Wine Glasses Gift Set Of 4 – Review

I ended up going with a bunch of plastic glasses that was actually designed to be a gift. It is a set of 4 and I got them for a very low price. They have no stem. Instead, they kind of look like glasses to drink scotch or whiskey from. But that is okay, they are also suitable for drinking wine. And that’s what we did as soon as he unwrapped them! These glasses have a little indent that makes it easier to hold them.

The make of these glasses is very thin, just like what you’d expect from real glasses that are actually made of glass. At the same time, these Govino plastic wine glasses are very strong. They are not marketed with ‘shatterproof’ without a reason. Me and my friend actually tested it. We let them fall on the ground on purpose to see what would happen. As you might expect from glasses made of plastic and not real glass, they simply bounced back. It is only when you let them drop where you notice this is not real glass. During normal usage, you will probably forget that this is synthetic material and not glass.

I have noticed that these plastic wine glasses are not made of hard plastic. They are more flexible and this is, in my opinion, a good thing. After all, real glass also has some flexibility to it. It kind of gives these glasses a genuine feel to it. A person using these glasses for the first time, will probably notice they are not real. But as soon as you’ve drunk some wine from them, you will notice their synthetic make less and less with every sip you take!

These plastic glasses have a very nice shape and they also have a decent amount of volume. They are very suitable for red wine. These glasses may be plastic, but nevertheless they are quite sturdy and look very attractive. The plastic material these glasses are made of, is very clear. But there are some imperfections in there that make it quite clear you’re not holding an actual glass in your hands. The stem of the glass lacks rigidity, but fortunately it does not make the glass unstable.

These glasses managed to impress my as well as my friends. Many of them were touching the glasses and inspecting them up close to see what kind of material they were made of. When you’re not paying attention, you might actually be fooled into thinking they’re real glass. There is a thin seam that gives these glasses away, but you have to look pretty hard for it. The experience of drinking from these plastic wine glasses, is not the same as drinking from real glass. But on the upside, you do not have to worry about somebody dropping one single $25 glass stem. This set of 6 cost me less than that, so these glasses were definitely a good investment.

For the low price that I paid for these glasses, I feel I got a lot of bang for my buck. The glasses are high quality and they do not break. Not in everyday use and not in the dishwasher. They are a bit large for packing in my suitcase, so me and my travel partners usually divide the glasses over our collective suitcases. The company that manufactures these plastic wine glasses, also produces others that have different shapes and sizes. I may check some of those out, because I think they will better fit in my luggage.
