A little while ago, I dropped my umpteenth wine glass and it shattered at my feet. I tried my best to pick up all the shards and I really thought they were all gone. You’d think you’d get everything when you use a vacuum cleaner to cover ground zero. But no… a few days later, I was walking on the spot with my bare feet and stepped into a glass shard that had slipped my be unnoticed. It was a nasty little cut for which I had to visit the doctor because I couldn’t get the shard out. At that point, I decided I had completely had it! I was going to buy plastic wine glasses instead!

I’m a real klutz and I have a history of dropping and breaking fragile things. For this reason, I never collected things made of glass in the first place. The only reason why I ever have glass around the house is because glasses just so happened to be made… of glass! But now that I’ve purchased these polycarbonate white whine glasses set of 6, I won’t have the problem of dropping and breaking wine glasses anymore.

I decided to go with a set of six even though I am living alone currently. I just didn’t believe these plastic wine glasses were shatterproof so I bought six of them because it was cheaper than just buying 1. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by these synthetic glasses. I would never have suspected that they were going to be this high quality. You can’t even see that they are not real unless you hold them in your hand and you inspect them up close! They are marketed as white wine glasses, but I see no reason not to use them for red wine as well.

These plastic wine glasses have nice, big, beautiful stems. For the low, low price that I paid for these, I couldn’t have gotten better quality. I have had them in use for three weeks now and I have already dropped a glass twice. On one of those two occasions, the glass was still half full. I was sorry to see a half glass of wine go to waste, but I was happy to see the glass didn’t shatter, thereby ruining my two hours of well deserved weekend rest on the couch! I highly recommend these glasses to everybody and I have purchased the red wine glasses as well!
